ARTIST'S BIOGRAPHY
Margarette
Johannes was born in the Midwest and began private art classes
as a young child that focused human portraiture and color combination.
While studying in Norway as a teenager, Miss Johannes was inspired
by Europe's castles, chalets, and churches including simulated
marbles and woods of Versailles. She traveled extensively to study
various techniques, some of which are 300 years old, and well-known
artists.
Johannes
returned to the United States to complete her Bachelor's of Fine
Arts degree at the University of California, San Diego. Miss Johannes
perfected her talents under renowned Italian artist, Italo Scanga.
She studied all levels of painting, drawing, life drawing, and textures
in addition to sculpture, metal fabrication, performance art, western
and non-western art history, film, graphic art, and museum/gallery
exhibition. Miss Johannes graduated summa cum laude and began
to intern as a decorative artist.
Now,
after 17 years of research, study, and experience, Miss Johannes
is available to businesses and individuals who wish to add beauty
and refinement to their personal lives and work places.
