Our client wanted a colorful wall, perhaps even an abstract mural, for her newly renovated pool room. We discussed many approaches until we were sold on a Venetian plaster approach. Contrary to a typical Venetian plaster, we produced a hybrid plaster texture with multi colors of blues, purples, and accents of red, green, and burnt orange (the colors of the pool balls and pool table felt) and topped off the plaster with several layers of a metallic purple wash. The effect boldly livens up the recreation room especially when one moves around the room viewing the luminosity of the metallic sheen as they change hue with the time of day.
